Michael Hernandez
Mr. Hernandez earned his MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University and his BA in Communication from Santa Clara University. He founded the Media Arts program in 1999, developing the curriculum and designing the Media Arts Lab, a 2600 square foot digital production and broadcast studio.
He is a member of a variety of organizations including the Journalism Education Association, National Scholastic Press Association and San Francisco Film Society. He was recently selected as an Apple Distinguished Educator, one of 52 educators across the country recognized for their innovative use of technology in the classroom. He is also an independent filmmaker, producing documentaries and other projects.
