Video Production 1-2

An introduction to film-style production, etiquette and criticism.  Projects are shot on DV and edited with Final Cut Pro.


Video Production 3-4

Intermediate production class emphasizing advanced cinematography and directing.


Video Production 5-6/7-8

Advanced course work focused on writing, directing and producing.

Film & Video classes prepare students for a future in cinematic arts, including film school and work in the entertainment industry.  Emphasis is placed on developing a personal voice and vision, and creating work that explores film and video as a unique art form.


Students work in groups to create a variety of projects including short films, documentaries, music videos, PSAs, experimental and video installations.  Film history and criticism are also integrated into the curriculum.


All courses satisfy the UC/CSU Visual Art requirement.
