BACKGROUND

One of the longest running student festivals in Los Angeles, the South Bay Student Video Festival is a showcase for exceptional high school film and video projects.  Emphasis is placed on work that uses film and video as a unique art form with which to express one’s self creatively.

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges, who select projects for screening, and give awards in a variety of creative and technical categories such as cinematography, writing, directing, sound design, visual effects and editing.  Awards will also be given for  the top projects in each of the submission categories.  Judges include film school professors and industry professionals.

For more information, contact Media Arts Adviser Michael Hernandez.
